Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (34442HU) 14" Ultrabook - Core i5-3427U 1.8GHz 4G DDR3 128G SSD (Windows 7 Professional)
This is my first lightweight computer. I bought it as a temporary replacement to a broken mobile workstation Dell Precision M4500 that weights 6.6 pounds. I was amazed about the weight and the nice soft black finish. The screen is good, I have not used it outside yet tho. Battery life is amazing (I am comparing it to the workstation) and I can do pretty much the same stuff albeit with a slower pace. After trying it I decided to keep this ultrabook for the road and give the workstation a vacation treatment and let it stand in the desktop for the heavy work (CAD user and lots of cpu intensive software).
